The year is almost over and you feel like there is a need to change your wardrobe but there is just one problem your budget is so low, if you are anything like my friend Georgia who knows she has to look good when going home for the festive season so that people don’t think she is not doing so well for herself whatever category you fall into, it’s okay to revamp your wardrobe and you can also do that on a budget. Here are some tips to help you do that:

Sort out your wardrobe

Visit your wardrobe, there are chances that you will still find some items you’ve not worn in a long while that is as good as new and at the same time you don’t want to mix old items with new ones so you need to a proper sorting and you will even some items you can give out which is also very cool.

Upgrade your accessories

Sometimes, all your wardrobe needs are a few shiny pieces. Adding accessories to an over-worn outfit is like breathing new life to it. It not only makes it pop but also makes it look like a new outfit. Make a fashion statement with chic accessories like belts, layered necklaces and brooches. Accessories also make an outfit look more expensive than it is.

Know what suits you

Don’t rush out and purchase every on-trend item you lay your eyes on. Sticking to a budget and plan will prevent you from splurging on items that will be out of style by the following year. Know what looks good on you to make more informed choices when shopping and choosing outfits. Not sure about what pieces best fit you? Keep an eye out for clothing that suits your body shape and colours that match your skin tone, that also happens to be those items that get you more compliments, you feel most comfortable in, and you wear in photos you find most flattering.

You’ll be surprised how many fresh looks you can get by thinking outside the box. Don’t be scared to try something new.

Invest in timeless pieces

Don’t go for styles that will soon go into extinction. Go for quality items that will last you for years. It would save you a whole lot.

It is very important to get outfits that are versatile and also classy, it is okay to invest in denim, blazers and even loafers they go with almost anything and they are very durable.

There’s no room for impulse buying when you’re revamping your wardrobe on a budget. The golden rule of shopping on a budget is to only buy the necessities. It’s easy to get carried away while shopping. With a list, you’re able to shop for exactly what you need instead of picking out items randomly. The list only works when you stick to it.
