HANDLING A BAD DAY

 

Have you ever had one of those moments where you just feel like punching someone in the face? Some days are just rough and I can attest to that but what happens when someone decides to piss you off at work. You obviously can’t tell your boss you want to take the day off because somebody in your department is pissing you off. It could even be your boss but you can’t because of a bad day give up on your job. You can’t afford to transfer your aggression or lash out on someone else you won’t like the end result.

How do you handle a bad day? We’ve got you covered, here are some tips to help you handle a bad day at work.

TAKE A WALK:

This is one of the best tricks you can have to handle a bad day. If you sit down there you will be forced to make decisions you might regret. Take a walk around your office and this will calm you down and help you find a solution.

CALL A FRIEND:

A nice way of putting out negativity is to call a friend or a trusted one. This is basically one of my best methods and trust me it really works. Don’t call a friend who will gossip find someone who can encourage you, your partner or best friend or one of your siblings is still the best option. Rant and if possible scream, by talking through you will realize that it’s not worth the stress anyway. Your friend would be able to calm you down and I’m sure you will be laughing by the time you are dropping the phone call.

DANCE:

I know this sounds so odd but trust me it works. You can go to the toilet use your earpiece and dance. Make sure you sweat by the time you are done all the negativity is over.

LISTEN TO A GOOD MUSIC:

Music actually has a way of connecting to your soul, it could actually heal your hurt. Try listening to a good music and your spirit will be lifted.

THROW YOUR HEART TO WORK:

Look for lesser tasks to perform, this will take your mind off your mood and you can focus on your job by the time the day is over you will feel a lot better.

WRITE:

I’m not saying this because I’m a writer but really writing is very therapeutic. I’m not asking you to write about the person who offended you or how annoying your boss could be, that would only hurt you the more. Just write about you feel and you can be sure you will feel a lot better by the time you are done.

WATCH FUNNY VIDEOS:

Laughing is a very good medicine and it has a way of erasing your pains maybe temporarily but at least it works. Visit YouTube or Instagram watch videos and laugh away your anger.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT:

I’ve been in Positions where I felt I’ve done my best and I was told it was rubbish. That alone is enough to frustrate anybody but it has only pushed me to get better. Many of us get angry when we are corrected or make mistakes but the truth is your boss maybe right. It’s okay to be angry but don’t stay there all you have to do is get better. Do everything possible to make sure it doesn’t happen again, write down how you can improve and take notable steps.

I know some days can be so tough and bad especially when it feels like nobody is seeing the good things you are doing but hey it can only get better. Diligence will move you to the top, don’t allow anyone give you a bad energy! A bad day will only make things worse. Cheer up there are better days ahead.
