We shine the Spotlight on Amosu Oluwaseyi who is widely known as Miyonse.
Miyonse found his way to the heart of a lot of people during the big brother see Gobe edition where he was a housemate and his cooking skills also earned him some credits. He is a media personality and a professional chef
GROWING UP AND CHILDHOOD
Miyonse was born August 26th in Festac town, Lagos. He is the last of four children, he has an elder sister and two elder brothers. His dad is an entrepreneur and his mum a nurse. He went through with his nursery and primary education at AT-BET International School, Lagos.
He had his secondary education at Early Life Secondary School in Lagos, graduating in 2009, and proceeded to the University of Lagos where he bagged a Bachelor of Science (B.sc) degree in Mass Communication in 2013. After leaving the University, he had a brief stint at the Lagos State Signage & Advertisement Agency (LASAA).
RISE TO STARDOM
In 2017, Miyonse was one of the housemates brought into the big brother house for the see Gobe edition. In June 2017, he was announced as the maiden ambassador for Payporte Food store.
After the Big Brother Nigeria 2017, Miyonse has leveraged on the platform in building his brand, thus making him a household name and gaining unending popularity among food connoisseurs.
According to Miyonse, he said his love for cooking started from home when his mom would make sure he was with her while she was cooking and that was how he became passionate about cooking. He is a trained chef and with this, he has become a brand ambassador for different food industries like Indomie, SamVita foods, and Ajinomoto.
AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
He was awarded for his “remarkable contribution” to the entertainment industry during the City People’s Awards which held in August 2017 and also and won the award for Outstanding Television Chef of the Year at the Nigerian Culinary Professionals Awards for his work on Wake up Nigeria.
His love and passion for what he knows how to do has earned him so much respect and love from his fans, according to him if he is not cooking, he is still cooking. He is making a serious impact by giving back to the society by doing a lot of charitable works focused on fighting against hunger and malnutrition. He does this by making philanthropical donations worth millions of Naira and cooking to feed the destitute and those who are socioeconomically underprivileged (Wikipedia).
We shine the spotlight on Miyonse for being a big inspiration, he has maximized opportunities given to him very well and we know he will still do more with his profession. His talent and skills are definitely taking him far!
