The popular veteran actress and producer Sola Sobowale is a woman you don’t want to miss, she has a way of bringing the realness how out of any role she is asked to interpret. She is a woman full of life and passion and with her acting career she has been able to influence and encourage a lot of people. The actress was born on the 26th of December, she was born and raised in ondo state where she completed her primary, secondary and tertiary education. Her dad wanted her to be an academician but she opted out of the college of Education to pursue her passion which is acting. She is in her fifties.
She started acting under the leadership of Adebayo Salami as a member of the Awada kirikiri group. She grew to become a popular and celebrated actress, her role as Toyin Tomato in the super story classics “Oh father! Oh daughter!” in 2001 left a long memory in the hearts of every one who watched the movie and it was the movie that brought her to limelight because she did a great job in interpreting the role. She produced her own movie “Ohun Oko somida” a Yoruba movie in 2010 and it was such an exciting movie.
She went off for a while, according to an interview she had with premium times she said she relocated abroad to give her kids the kind of life they needed, when they were old enough she came back to Nigeria. She did a major comeback with the movie wedding Party where she played the character Tinuola Coker who was the mother of the bride, she did an amazing job and one moment we all can’t forget in that movie was when she was determined to outshine the mother of the groom who had danced in earlier, she took her dance steps gracefully and in small steps and the look on her face said it all, she sure made that movie interesting!
After wedding party it was evident that she was really back to stay has she has been in a lot of movies after then and even till date
The actress is happily married to Oludotun sobowale and the union is blessed with five children which includes a set of twins.
