It was an evening of glitz and glamour at the Balmoral Center, Federal Palace Hotel Victoria Island, Lagos where some “big fishes” of Fashion gathered to celebrate the Fashion Finest Africa Awards, it’s the first of its kind to be hosted by Fashion Finest Africa and it was definitely an epic show.

The event was set up to celebrate those who are making a mark in the fashion industry and those who have also made a mark in the Africa’s fashion Industry and your preferred online store Payporte was celebrated and given an award as the Fashion Retail store of the year,  it was a night of fun and excitement.

Bolanle Olukanmi

The host of the event Bolanle Olukanmi, also performed beautifully in three looks that embodied a truly stylish Nigerian, a guest at the royal wedding and a celebrity at the Catholic-themed Met Gala.

Fashion Magazine of the year: Schisk Magazine

Fashion show of the year: GT bank Fashion weekend

Fashion Photographer of the year: Reze Bonna from South Africa

Accessories designer of the Year: Pichulik from Nigeria

Emerging designer of the year: Rich Minsi from South Africa

Stylist of the Year: The Style Infidel

Fashion blogger of the year: Kefi boo from South Africa

Fashion Influencer of the Year: Toke Makinwa

Fashion Retail store of the year: PayPorte

Fashion Icon of the the year: Deola Sagoe

Outstanding contribution to the Nigerian Fashion Industry: Omoyemi Akerele

Young designer of the Year: Emmy Kasbit

Designer of the year: Lisa Folawiyo

It was really an evening of fun and one major performance was the Juliana crew, this particular crew displayed different cultures in Africa through dance and modelling.

The show goes on for two more days on Sunday and Monday, the 27th and 28th of May, 2018 with fashion shows featuring established, new, emerging and student designers.
