This super talented Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah is a man that deserves a lot of accolades, he is sure breaking records and this time around he has done what he knows how to do best, breaking records.
Mohamed Salah has set a new record for Premier League goals in a 38-game season, with the Liverpool forward recording his 32nd effort of the campaign against Brighton.
He opened the scoring for Liverpool against Brighton at Anfield to reach 32 for the campaign, two ahead of Harry Kane.Kane scored twice in Tottenham’s 5-4 win over Leicester at Wembley to keep the heat on Salah but ultimately fell short.
The English striker became the first player to score 30 goals and not win the Golden Boot in a 38-game season. Salah has scored 44 goals in all competitions this season and been instrumental in Liverpool’s run to the Champions League final.
He was named PFA Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year as well as scooping two awards at Liverpool’s end-of-season ceremony on Thursday 10th of May. Salah had earlier this year won the African Player of the Year Award and was the first African to reach the 30-goal mark in a single Premier League season.
The Egyptian surpassed the 31-goal mark in a 38-game campaign set by Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.
